At PlayBoox, we take your privacy seriously. This policy describes how we collect and use your data.

1. Information We Collect

We only collect essential information needed to provide our streaming service, including your email address for authentication and your watchlist preferences.

2. How We Use Data

Your data is used to personalize your experience, synchronize your watchlist across devices, and improve our content recommendations.

3. Sign in with Google

When you choose Sign in with Google, PlayBoox receives your name, email address, and profile picture from Google to create, identify, and manage your PlayBoox account and sign-in session. We use this information to provide authentication and account-related functionality: signing you in, showing your name and picture in your account, sending you account emails, and finding your account when you contact support. PlayBoox asks Google only for this basic profile (the openid, email and profile permissions) and does not request access to any other Google data. The information is stored by Supabase, the service that runs PlayBoox sign-in for us, and in PlayBoox's own account systems; our email delivery provider receives your email address only to send you account messages. These service providers process it on PlayBoox's behalf.

4. Data Security

We use enterprise-grade encryption and secure authentication via Supabase to ensure your account remains protected.

5. How Long We Keep Data

Your account, watchlist and viewing history are kept for as long as your account exists, and erased when you delete it. Playback quality and site-visit events are kept for 90 days, other app and search events for 180 days, and server logs for 30 days; after that they are deleted automatically. Daily search totals (how often each search term was used, with no account attached) are kept for up to 3 years. Payment records are kept for 5 years, as Bangladesh's VAT and Supplementary Duty Act 2012 (section 107) requires, with your name and contact details removed if you delete your account.

You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time, from any device, without signing in. See our Delete Your Account page for the steps and details of what is removed.
